Korineum Golf & Beach Resort is the first and only 18-hole course in Northern Cyprus, and in summer it is a way to fill the morning before the heat. Here is how to get there from Kyrenia (Girne), what happens to the course in July, what a round costs and what a player needs to be let onto the first tee.
Getting there
The course sits on the Kyrenia–Esentepe road at the ten-kilometre mark (the club's address reads exactly that: Esentepe Yolu üzeri 10. km), on a slope above the sea; from the centre of Kyrenia you take the same coast road that leads to Alagadi and on to the Karpaz. Look out for the sign to the resort, which has an 82-room hotel, a beach and a spa; the club answers on +90 533 888 6565 and +90 533 888 7575.
18 holes, par 72, 6,232 m from the back tees, five tee boxes on every hole, and paspalum grass kept green all year round. The terrain is hilly, so the club itself recommends a buggy for the upper holes; there is a 34-bay driving range (16 under cover), a Trackman Range, a putting green and practice bunkers.
Season and prices
The summer rate is the lowest of the year: on the published 2026 prices, 18 holes cost 75 euros for part of the summer season against 125 in the peak months; partner golf-card data puts the green fee from 15 May to 30 September at 85 euros and up (the figures differ, so confirm the rate for your dates with the club). Buggies, clubs and trolleys are charged separately, buggies subject to availability. One thing that matters in July: the greens are being aerated on 22–23 July 2026, and for the following fortnight the course does not play at its best.
What a player needs
The club asks for a club card with a registered handicap, tee times are booked 24 hours ahead, soft spikes only, phones on the course are frowned upon, GPS devices are allowed and dogs are not. In summer you take the first tee times: by ten in the morning it is already over thirty on the open fairways.
In July take the first morning tee time and check the green aeration dates.
- Call the club a day ahead and ask about the state of the greens if you are playing after 22 July.
- Take a buggy for 18 holes: the hilly upper holes on foot in the heat are not for everyone.
- Bring your handicap card and soft-spiked shoes, or you will not be allowed onto the first tee.
- Reapply sunscreen every two hours and carry two litres of water: there is little shade on the fairways.
